After a bit of a hiatus, I’m back to traveling and writing, and I couldn’t be happier.
Life was coming at me fast the past few months, and I’m sure some of you can share in the experience. Work was stressful as hell, my lease was up three months before I anticipated, and the political and social climate of Covid-19 and its consequences was just flat out exhausting me. So, I cut down my hours at work, took a break from all of news and talk of the past year, and took a week-long trip with Austin before we moved in together.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing our experiences and adventures with you. We enjoyed West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Tennessee, and Kentucky before we were back home again in Indiana, so a lot of cool, crazy, wild shit happened. Over the next few weeks, you may also notice a change in how I write. I try not to be too personable on this specific blog because I intended it to be one for strictly local brews, cool parks and hiking spots, and my weekend trips out of the state. Of course, this content will remain the majority of my blog, because that’s what you’re here for, right? But after a week on the road with my partner, I realize now how important communication, teamwork, and willingness to improvise is when you’re traveling with another, and I believe whole-heartedly those are unnegotiable subjects for this adventure project.
So, enjoy reminiscing on our biggest trip yet alongside us. We’re thrilled to share our adventure with you.
